Patti is a Los Angeles native and 16-year resident of the Dell. She serves as a polling place volunteer at every election and is the Dell's representative to the Hillside Federation. Outside of the Dell, she is President of DES Action, a national, non-profit organization that provides research, education and support for DES-exposed individuals and their families and is a media spokesperson for the CDC (Center for Disease Control) on a national consumer information campaign for DES exposure. www.desaction.org Patti owns Brain Brew Entertainment, a boutique theatrical production company that specializes in Interactive shows, custom-created sketch comedy, murder mysteries, team-building events, and other forms of Corporate Entertainment. VICE PRESIDENT

Justin was born in Honolulu HI and raised in Boston, MA. He graduated from Brookline High School 1986 and received his BA from Washington & Lee University in 1990, after which he began working in the entertainment industry where his lead credits include Broadway: Neil Simon's Lost In Yonkers; Film: Clueless; TV: The X Show. In 2009 he directed a wine & cooking TV pilot for Renegade 83 Entertainment and appeared in Dell resident Bobby Salomon’s TV pilot “15 Minutes.”

An entrepreneur by nature, Justin was president & CEO of Cheetah Ventures, Inc/CRI, Director of Development for gourmet restaurant franchise Tacone (Inland Empire), and is currently Vice President of FTF Real Estate Investment Trust based out of Austin, TX. He has been a contributor and volunteer for Project Angel Food since 1997, and currently serves on the board for Cheremoya Foundation, actively raising funds for the benefit of our local elementary school.

Terri Gerger has been a canyon resident for over 15 years. She served as president and vice president for a number of years and is currently serving as Treasurer. She devotes her time to making certain HDCA is represented on matters that impact its future. Traffic, street repaving, and land use issues are just a few of the matters in which Terri finds herself involved. Her current pet Dell project is the property at the corner of Franklin and Ivar.  With the help of Dell neighbors, she hopes to turn this ¾ acre site into a park.  Professionally, Terri is a residential realtor with Sotheby's International Realty. Previously she was a CPA and worked with Price Waterhouse in their litigation and bankruptcy practice. She also serves as Board Member and Treasurer for the Hollywood Freeway Cap Park and is a member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Merle has spent over a decade volunteering as a community leader. She has led several organizations including Hollywood Community Police Advisory Board and the YCC Gateway to Hollywood, http://www.ycchollywood.org/ Vocationally, she has been a community relations consultant and executive director at Hollywood Police Activities League. Among her community recognitions, she was awarded the Woman of Distinction Award by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. George Skarpelos has been the editor of The Hollywood Spotlight, the newsletter that the HDCA puts out quarterly for the past three years. He has a keen interest in all the issues that the Dell faces and is always interested in garnering different and unique perspectives from Dell neighbors. Since he moved to the neighborhood relatively recently (2000), he values the ideas and viewpoints that longer term Dell residents have. His wife Alexa and daughter Athena are also active Dell members. George and his family believe that community matters and our organization can have a positive and substantive impact on our lives and our city.

HOLLYWOOD BOWL REP

Tom is a 40 year resident of Los Angeles, works in entertainment research and is currently the Hollywood Bowl representative for HDCA. Tom and his wife Lisa, a native of Hollywood having attended Cheremoya Elementary, Le Conte Middle School and Hollywood High, have lived on Alcyona Drive for 18 years. Tom and Lisa treasure the Hollywood Bowl as one of the most important cultural landmarks in all of Los Angeles and consider it the best among the many pleasures of living in our neighborhood. Tom is committed to advancing the interests of The Dell as it relates to Bowl sponsorships, parking, traffic and operational issues.

Jennifer van Zyl, her husband Rudy and their daughter Parker are long-time residents and supporters of the Dell. Rudy and Jennifer have served in various HDCA board positions. Jennifer works for Vanity Fair magazine and Rudy is an Assistant Director.

Jean and her husband Mike have been enjoying life in the Dell since 1990. With a background in Art/Art History, she has worked at the San Diego Museum of Art and the Wight Art Gallery at UCLA. While on campus, she moved on to work within the academic departments of art history, art and design|media arts and architecture. Recently retired, she now spends her time working on collaborative and independent art projects and volunteering part-time at a Japanese American senior nutrition program in Little Tokyo. This is her first time as an HDCA board member serving as historian.

Born and raised in the Northwest, Alexa moved to San Francisco in 1991 and eventually found her way to the sunny hills of the Hollywood Dell in 2000 when she and her husband, expecting their daughter Athena, moved to La Punta Drive. After 7 years and countless Dell functions, Alexa thought she knew a lot of her neighbors. But after she and her family adopted an adorable rescue dog in late 2007, Alexa got to know a whole world of "dog people" in the Dell during her twice-daily walks through the neighborhood. Alexa has volunteered on local community fundraising projects since 2005. Alexa first chaired the HDCA annual fundraiser in 2006 at the 50th Anniversary Gala, and is working with a dedicated team of neighbors to create another memorable, and successful event this year.

Kirsten Hanson-Press has lived with her husband Erik in the Hollywood Dell since 1997. She is dedicated to community involvement and inspired by the benefits of living in such an eclectic and creative environment that blends urban life with the tranquility of the Hollywood Hills. They regularly host the monthly neighborhood association meetings at their house, along with a toddler music class and a weekly playgroup for families in the Dell. After 12 years in the film business, Kirsten is currently home with their two daughters Olivia and Maxine.

Laura has been a resident of the Dell for 18 years. Her love for Hollywood and its history lured Laura to the area after living in New York for 13 years. Her passion and desire is to help Hollywood retain the flavor of its past without discouraging new innovation. She hopes to make the downtown area one that residents will want to flock to and make part of their everyday lives—not just a place that appeals to tourists and clubbers. Laura is a commercial illustrator and works occasionally with her husband, designer Michael Doret. Michael, in addition to designing such notable pieces as the New York Knick’s logo, covers for Time magazine and the Hollywood and Vine sign, also created our “Welcome to the Hollywood Dell” signs.

Suzanne Friedline hails from the south, but has had the privilege of living and working all over the world. She moved to the Dell in 2001 when she married Mark Ferber, who, by the way, has lived at our address his entire life--yes, he's had the same phone number all these years!! She is an actress and serves on the board at Actors Co-op Theatre company right here in Hollywood. When she is not being a mom to her 21-month old son Daniel, she does voice-overs, ADR work and her long-time passion, theatre. She just closed THE NERD last month at Actors Co-op. Recently she spoofed Anna Nicole Smith on the daytime series PASSIONS. She studied acting at Florida State University, The Moscow Art Theatre in Russia and The Goodman School of Drama. She is happy to be focusing on our neighborhood parking situation, hopes to get more involved with our local school, Cheremoya School, and speaks fluent German.
